Skin tags (fibrous polyps) are small pouches of normal skin that protrude from the skin surface on narrow stalk. They are soft and generally flesh colored or very lightly pigmented. Skin tags can show up in groups or alone and are common around the neck, armpits, in the abdominal area, on the eyelids of cheeks. They can be easily mistaken for moles, warts, or a skin growth.

Skin tags can easily become irritated by clothing or daily activities. At times they can get inflamed or infected and enlarged with swelling. Skin tags can also be cosmetically unacceptable.

When skin tags become a problem, Dr. Daoud and the team at Glo Dermatology can help diagnose and treat your condition.
