Rosacea is a chronic skin disorder that starts with the symptoms of easy blushing and a flushed look. The episodes of flushing lead to the development of permanent red lines. Some who suffer from rosacea only experience redness, some only blemishes, and some have both.

Rosacea can affects the face, eyes and chest of adults and causes persistent redness, flushing and breakouts.

The common symptoms of rosacea include:

  • Frequent redness of the face and/or chest
  • Broken facial capillaries in the face or eyes
  • Acne type breakouts such as blemishes, pustules and cysts
  • Thickening of facial areas, most noticeably around the nose
  • Heightened sensitivity of facial skin

Rosacea is not a curable disease, it is chronic and will flare up and dissipate. There are treatments available to treat the symptoms of Rosacea. Dr. Daoud will work with you to find the best solution for your skin.
